Those who hypothesized the after-story of Jesse and Celine after the sun rose in the first film are utterly satisfied by this lovely, lovely sequel that had them meet once more in a European city. Similar to its predecessor Before Sunrise, Before Sunset still sees the two characters heavily discussing randomness while navigating the streets of Paris, but this time incorporating the maturity of their characters. After all, it’s supposed to be ten years since their fateful encounter, and catching up was much needed. Surprises are plenty, and everything culminates in an ending that possibly is the best of this decade. Sedricke Lapuz
